A hybrid trompe similar to an early painting called Studio Window.
It is a study of an actual window and scene that I have in my studio, but the window is life size, and painted in a trompe style.
(If I were to paint directly from life, the window's horizontal lines would converge to the left as my viewpoint was slightly off to the right. In this painting though, the lines are parallel, but will seem to converge properly when viewed from the right viewpoint.)
The edges of the canvas act as the edges of an architrave.
